Research Fellow in Biostatistics
The
Division of Biostatistics in the University of Minnesota's School of Public
Health is seeking several Research Fellows to work on clinical trials
in AIDS research. These positions are annually renewable professional
academic appointments.
Successful
candidates will have a M.S. or M.P.H. in biostatistics, public health,
applied statistics, or epidemiology, excellent written and verbal communication
skills, and exceptional organizational skills. Preference will be given
to candidates with demonstrated experience in the conduct of clinical
trials. Candidates should also have either data management skills and
experience with SAS or have clinical research experience.
Research
Fellows assist with the design and conduct of AIDS clinical trials, including
data collection tools, clinician training, design of educational materials,
data analysis, day-to-day contact with clinic staff, some site monitoring
and publication and presentation of trial results. Research Fellows also
work closely with clinicians and Ph.D.-level statisticians.
