Abstract:
The original application of Affymetrix SNP microarrays was high-throughout genotyping. However, they are also very useful whole genome copy number estimation. After an introduction of the technology we will describe some of the statistical aspects involved in maximizing the information from the raw level data. We will also discuss the adverse effect this step can have, if done incorrectly, on association studies, e.g. by confounding missing data with genotype.

A social tea will be held at 3:00 P.M. in A434 Mayo. All are Welcome.
