These are AIDS patients with an initial episode of PCP (Penumocystis Carinni Pneumonia), a life threatening disease. Two treatments are: A=trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, B=aerosolized pentamidine. Other variables listed below are: CD4 count, sex, race, weight (WT), homosexual (HOMO:1=yes,0=no), relapse (PCP: 1=yes,0=no), time to relapse in months (PDATE), death (DIE), and survival time (DDATE, in months)
