In a radioimmunoassay, a hormone with a radioactive trace is added to a test tube containing an antibody that is specific to that hormone. In order to measure the extent of the reaction of the hormone with the antibody, we measure the amount of hormone that is bound to the antibody relative to the amount remaining free. Typically, experimenters measure the ratio bound/free radioactive count for each dose of hormone added to a test tube. The data can be found in antibody.dat, with bound/free count (column 1) and dose concentration (column 2). SOURCE: Ott, R.L. An Intro to Stat Methods and Data Analysis, Third edition, p. 573
