The HOSPCOST2.DATA file contains 51 cases of average cost per day (in $) and
average total cost per stay in each of the 50 states + D.C. (3 variables).

CASES, VARIABLES AND INPUT
51 cases and 3 variables. A simple example where the unit of observation is not
a person but an aggregate.  Data may be input by simply listing the variables. 

ANALYSES
Simple linear regression with scatter and residual plots.  A computation
in the data step will yield a new variable: 'length of stay' which can then also
be used in regression.  Grouping of the states by geographic regions may be of
interest for ANOVA.  Can also illustrate map/graphics using SAS/GRAPH or S+ 
capabilities.
