PubH 6414: Biostatistical Methods I (Fall 2011)

Course Description:

Biostatistical Methods I is the first course in a two-course sequence: PubH 6414 and PubH 6415. The Biostatistical Methods I course is intended to convey the fundamentals of biostatistics. The course series uses R Commander in 6414 and R in 6415 (in person has an option of SAS) as the statistical analysis software. Students who complete both courses in the series are expected to be able to understand and interpret all of the basic statistical methods used in scientific journals in their field of study, as well as use basic statistics in their own research.
