Welcome...
I enjoy working with data. I received a PhD from the Department of
Biostatistics at the Johns Hopkins University. My general research interests
include computational biology, statistical genetics and statistical consulting. I am interested in developing
statistical methods for analyzing genetic data generated by
high-throughput technologies, and gene pathway/network
enrichment analysis. I also enjoy participating in collaborative
research. Through collaboration, I am involved in a wide range of
interesting research topics such as: frailty in older women, health
disparities,
smoking cessation, genetic mechanisms for
cancer and chemotherapy response, and genetic etiology for differential malaria responses. I am a member of the Biostatistics Shared Resource Core in the Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota.
I grew up in the Windy City Hsinchu in Taiwan. It is also often nicknamed as the "Silicon Valley of Taiwan." In my free
time, I enjoy swimming, kayaking and making chinese steamed bread (抹茶桂圓饅頭).
